1. - 6 occasions, the fact that the area to be anaesthetised was too big meant that the operation had to be performed in two stages; this concerned varices which added, to the crural and femoral-cutaneous regions, major varicose networks over the obturation, abdominogenital or sciatic areas; on two occasions, limited by a maximum dose (60 ml) of Lidocain or Mepivicain, we were obliged to inject Alfentanil in order to be able to finish the operation without compromising its ambulatory aspect.
